hi has any one got any photos of 265/75/16 fitted to there disco
ive got a set of black modulars with special tracs i want to fit this weekend!

Yeap heres mine. had to do camel cut at the rear and the front just to be sure and a also a bit on the front of the rear arch in some woods with a hack saw after it caught on the tyre both sides! also had to adjust the steering stops but they still catch if your not careful

might add some arches with some wheel spacers i think

i have a 5dr might be a bit tricky!?

have you got a lift on yours? i was thinking of wheel spacers and archs at a later date i think though!

nope, 2" lift and took the corners off the bottom of the rear quarter, bent the inner part of the rear door but was major articulation on the axle to do that

what type of lift kit do you have?

2" Heavy duty springs an super gaz shocks but thinkin of changin shocks

yes mine has a 2" lift, here is a picture of where it fouled on the front of the rear arch.

although, most of us on here would warn you about using spacers, cos they generate tremendous strain on your wheel bearings, specially with bigger tyres on. and you defo have to spend more money to get arches, if your tyres stick out too much you'll be in trouble.

try offset wheels instead? the point of bolting on would be the same so less stress

full suspension kit will be going on in around a month or so i hope this to be a quick fix for now realy!

No need for spacers or to adjust the lockstops on the steering with Modulars that have a good offset.

Have a real good think as to whether you really want to fit an arch kit - they are not easy to fit.

Are 265/75/16's worth the extra cutting and chopping than 235/85/16's?

Are they better in the mud/offroad?
They do look a bit better with them being wider...
Ive got 235/70/16 insa turbo dakar's on mine at the minute and they are fine off road but look a bit small with a 2" lift.

feck the look, its functionality you want (unless your a town driver...)

if you gotta lift kit, but dont wanna cut, get 235/85's. defenders come with them on for a damn good reason! When off roading propper your supposed to let you tyres down anyways, so they'll grip more, specially if you get insa's special tracks, which are nearest damnit tractor tyres

Just for reference here's mine with no suspension mods just a bit of hacking to the bodywork. Tyres are 265/75 BFG muds.
