Not a job I've done myself but as I understand it there is a drain plug on the bottom of the box, I guess you just undo it and let the transmission fluid drain out.
To refill, I remember seeing something in the manual that says you pour new fluid down the dip stick tube.
I'm also fairly sure you can buy a kit for the auto box which supplies a new filter but this means taking the sump off the box.

Yes, definately refill through eh dipstick tube. If you don't know how long the fluids been in there, its worth doing the filter too. You will need to remove the sump pan to do that.
ere DV are yu going to go donutless - or chancing just a noo one?

the filling from below bit is for late P38's where they took the dipstick orf.
AHH i see.Rangerover.net suggested that and difflock the above way.Rangerover.net did say it was for a classic though.

My classic aint got no diff lock, I got wun o them funny viscous fings. I have got a dipstick fer the auto box an tha's where the fluid goes in an orl.
