cheers heard two conflicting reports, one involving pumping the atf into the gearbox from belowNot a job I've done myself but as I understand it there is a drain plug on the bottom of the box, I guess you just undo it and let the transmission fluid drain out.
To refill, I remember seeing something in the manual that says you pour new fluid down the dip stick tube.
I'm also fairly sure you can buy a kit for the auto box which supplies a new filter but this means taking the sump off the box.

wont be doing the filter just got some water in the fluid and wanna replace it
AHH i see.Rangerover.net suggested that and difflock the above way.Rangerover.net did say it was for a classic though.the filling from below bit is for late P38's where they took the dipstick orf.
