There is a chart floating around on the net drawn up by a member here to show measurement so you could check with a tape measure, I dont have it but its on here.

Even with the extra height it only needs the little extra air if its at access to get it there but from then it should make no difference in air consumption while running.

I was thinking of Saints pretty pics. I have them writtern down somewhere. Probably in the same place my RSW lead is, its been that long since I have needed them. (just jinxed it I know:oops:)

Increased height should not affect air use, except perhaps if the height is near the edge of the ECU default settings which might cause problems
Blocks are not necessary to calibrate the suspension, a marked up measuring stick is quicker and easier.
I run both mine locked at motorway height, saves the compressor a lot of work with the speed related height changes.
How can I lock at motorway height!? Is that even possible?

Perfection. Thanks so much for digging that up and reposting.

Turns out my truck is perfectly calibrated.
Maybe I am hunting a ghost. :)

PS: good luck on the EAS lead. I know the feeling. I have some in a bin somewhere... but where.
My wife is bringing me back a new set from California. RSW tried to ship twice to Italy with no success thanks to incompetence at the post office here.... argh!

But they will finally get here to get going on the other quirks to deal with.

PS: just because weird issues like my tailgate switch often not working and the door locks acting possessed is an issue currently with this truck...

My right side door latch microswitches are clearly on the fritz... can this issue with central locking ("dancing door locks",etc.) maybe cause weird behavior on the EAS compressor control, as in it "thinks" the car just got unlocked and it now triggers some sort of first start up routine and asks the compressor to run/top off the reservoir much sooner and more often than it normally would. That way causing it to "short cycle" or something rather than running it once for a longer time when at low threshold and then not again until the reservoir actually needs it!?

Just another crazy idea.... since you all have so much more experience with this wonder works of technology baptized the P38A... :vb-banana:

Yes its possible. but the ride to your house sounds like you dont want to do that TBH, sounds a bit rough.

You see the switch that looks like a flat tyre? put it in motorway and push it I think.

so for whatever reason I thought the motorway speed can't be triggered manually... let alone locked....
am I wrong?
I am pretty sure I wanted and tried to do that on my California P38 and that did not work...

Related to EAS or not.
You need to sort the locks. Have you tried the key in the door manually? if not then do it.

Loads of threads on door locks for bedtime reading.

Press in the lock switch, then doors shut and engine running press the down button and it will go to motorway height and stay there as long as the lock button is in. It's covered in the owners handbook which is also in RAVE if you do not have the owners handbook.
Dodgy door lock switches can interfere with the EAS including the tailgate switch.

it's next on the list...
I know that my right hand door latch is the #1 culprit. (no key) One or multiple microswitches are not working.

Just make sure your drivers door manual key works, cos there are many threads of peeps not being able to get in with it, for many reasons.

it does... and the previous owner clearly did some modification, so the drivers door only locks with key or with the key fob... when all other doors lock randomly, it stays unlocked... thank gawd...

But I will put that topic on a new thread if I need help. Seems it's a more than common issue. Which I did not have on my previous P38 at all.... 🥸
