I have signed my life away on a new gas boiler (before they ban them)
I suspect that all the talk about banning carbon fuelled items will fizzle out to not happening. At least for a very long time. The proof will be visible when it comes to the crunch and the oil and gas producing nations tell the west they are turning the taps off for six months, and show us how much we are reliant on carbon.

Afternoon folks:).

Well the painting came to a bit of an abrupt halt. Water went off Tuesday evening. Its been back on for a few hours but very sparodic, supposed to be 1 on 1 off. We thought we were doing so well this year, oh well . Too many Wells in that line sort of rubs it in:vb-groan2:.

Anyway, We make the most of it and we are off up to the village spring tomorrow for a wash and clean in the troff birthday BBQ:), starts at 11am:oops:.

Can't you drill your own well, or is it not-allowed/not a suitable site for one?

Yes no problem with doing it, except the last drilled wells near us have dried up (not deep enough).

When the garage pit was dug we got water in the hole at 2m, when we dug the pool we got water at 2m (different areas of our property).
We used to have water come in the basement bit of the house (not happened for a few years).

It is still on the "it may happen list".
But we have a pool to get the worst stink off ;) or fill a bucket for a flush if needed;). But with 6 toliets (lets not turn this in "how many ovens please") we get 3days of flush requirement for 2 peeps:D.

We haven't run out of water this year yet and i have used about 15,000 lt on the veg plot so far, thunder storm's predictions for next week end with about 50mm fingers crossed if not delivery from the fire bregad, and I don't smell yet 😂😂 not bad for just rainwater

I would build a 20 cubic tank underground and fill it from the mains in the wintertime problem solved

You still buy your water in if you run out though? We have a pool which I could easliy turn off and pump back to the house if I wanted.
Cant remember last time it rained:(.
