Hi,
After water damage to my end 2004 D3 4.4 V8 (via broken passenger side sunroof drain tube...), I am having to consider sourcing a YQE500300 (BCM/Fusebox Body Control - located in passenger footwell behind glovebox) replacement.
I have a mechanic (25 years LR experience) looking at it and he has not got it started after over a week of diagnostic testing since initially cleaning the BCM, drying it out and getting the car started (not without faults via diagnostic testing...). Car has been completely (...) dried out for 10 days in a borrowed garage (seats out etc). Front drain tube(s) replacement next step...
Does anyone know if the YQE500300 is materially different for the D3 4.4 V8 petrol models than the one supplied for the D3 2.7 Diesel models (seems to be widely available - I cannot seem to source one specific to the D3 4.4 V8 petrol)?
I have not posted in the forums previously - please feel free to refer me to any forum specifically dealing with this - this is bound to have come up previously...
All help welcome.
