Morning All. :D
Sunny, but very breezy here. :)
Today I am requested to do some carpet cleaning with my Vax Spotwash where the MIL has had a little "accident".
Poor old gal, definitely nearing the end stage now, she asks for food, takes 1 bite and says "don't want that/can't eat that"; falls asleep in her chair like she has a bad case of narcolepsy, and cups of tea go 1/2 drunk.
I wouldn't be surprised if one morning we find she has slipped away peacefully in her sleep.
Might pop along to the mini-club tonight. :D

Mornin
Shower of rain overnight but clearing now
Bathroom fitter did repairs to new bathroom yesterday but cistern still leaking (bodge didn't work)
Going to wash the Freelander (very carefully) today :D
Also planting sunflower seeds in pots
Have a good Wednesday all :)

Got around to cleaning the hob last night at about 0200. (This morn, OK!)
Found out that an offcut of laminate worktop and Cif would do the job and suprisingly easily too. Now looks as good a it ever did.
(Mrs @kevstar may like to know this!!)

The pan is another matter.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Stainless steel.

Found out I hadn't replaced the batt in the smoke alarm, big smack on head. When one goes if I don't have a spare batt I leave the lid open and dangling, must have not done this for some reason. :vb-headbang::vb-headbang::vb-headbang:.
Rain and wind overnight, better now.
Have a good day folks!:):):)

Waay Haay!
Got the Disco back. The noo box is smooth and sooo quiet. :):):)
So very pleased.

And blokey only charged £1020 to include the 2nd hand box, the labour (£350) noo transfer box oil and noo ATF for the gear box.

To think the other gonzo charged £1000 to take the box off and just replace one gasket and tighten up the bolts.

Sun is shining and morale is high.
As the froggies would say, "Bonne Continuation!":):):)

Did Cif used to be Jiff, so its had a sex change 🤣 🤣 Ta much.

I also may have caused the end of our induction hob.
I hate the flipping things anyway.
W is too ill to want to eat so, as often happens, I was doing my dins.
Put a pan on a ring on the hob with oil in it to start cooking my veg. Then got distracted. Forgot it. Eventually smelt burning.
Why the smoke alarm didn't go off I have no idea, I will have to test and maybe replace it.
Pan bottom inside coated with black sticky stuff. Under it burnt kitchen paper, hob protector that seems alright then another layer of burnt kitchen paper. The ring has a layer of burnt on stuff on it. No idea if I'll be able to clean it off this time.
I have promised W that if it can't be cleaned up I'll buy her a better one.
TBH it ain't up to much. If you ask it to use 3 rings it don't like it. We have never tried 4 rings!! AEG. Forget it!:(:(:(

Good to see you've sorted the hob, can you not ask on mumsnet or the freelander section about the pots. 🤣 🤣
