I've seen little motorbike style ones, clip on ones, normal ones inside the windscreen, ones on the roofrack and the ones that go stick on the bonnet.

I wanna winch bumper...
...so, What's the official stance on Front Number Plates?

I went laning with george666 and he had a stick on one on the front of his 90.I said I need one of them cos me number plate is now the lowest thing at the front of me classic but he said he has another one to get him through his MOT cos his tester dont like the stick on one.Not much help i know....

Number plate should be correct style and size and visible from the front in a vertical position, this can also be on the roof rack if needs be.

Cheers,
Steve

mine's a stick on one on the nearside vent flat.
so long as it's been there since before 2001 (wink), it passes the MOT.

Mount yer number plate on a piece of ally with a pair of tool clips (like the one below) or maglite clips on the back and clip it straight to the winch rollers. Just unclip it when you go off roading.
