Hi, my wipers don't return to the parked position, in fact on intermittant, they just go up and stop there. I'm guessing/hoping it's just a relay but as we just bought the car yesterday and I haven't even got a manual yet, I was wondering if anyone can advise me which relay and where they are?

Thanks, quick reply! I'm hoping my prob's not so serious, the wipers do work fine in normal mode but when I switch 'em off, they just stop wherever they are and don't park.

If its any consalation to you we have had our disco 22 month and our wipers are exactley the same we have been told its a relay but job still on to do list

Do a search for RAVE. When you find the link, download and burn to disc and there's one of the best manuals you can get.

RAVE says the relay is behind the right hand side trim panel.

Don't worry about it too much, it's all in the timin'. Switch them on and wait 'til a certain point tae switch them back off.. It's quite easy when ye get the hang of it and comes like second nature

aint there a mirco switch on the wiper motor that controls the park position?

my guess is thats fooked or stuck in

Or maybe summit to do with the contacts on the stalk?

Or the plastic noggin that operates the turny off switch on the motor is worn or clagged up.
