Looking to buy a Land rover defender 110 TDi 200 for work. Just read article in paper about savings to be made by converting to bio Diesel. Any views on converting defender to bio Diesel ?

To convert a 200TDi, you need to do a lot of work.

Like open the filler cap and bung it in the tank.
Bio Diesel 100% or 75% Rapeseed OIl and 25% Diesel (50/50 in winter).

Oh and change yer fuel filter after the first 3 or 4 tank fulls, then a bit more often than you would normally.

Ere Trewey, i just done 200 miles today on neat pure stuff, n touch wood no probs, seems to be runnin a bit quieter but certainly nothing else noticeable! When it was cold, for the first 5 mins or so, tick over was a bit higher, but soon settled down!
