Is it possible to REPAIR or REPLACE the Heater Elements in Freelander Leather seats? and if so is it a job a Numpty can take on?

Is it possible to REPAIR or REPLACE the Heater Elements in Freelander Leather seats? and if so is it a job a Numpty can take on?

It's possible to replace the heating elements, but they're pretty reliable, so I'd be checking the fuses, relays and wiring first.

There instructions on one of the LR service manuals, but I can't remember which one.

It was the switches that failed on my son's 2004 FL1. We bridged the switch contacts to check the relays & seat elements before buying !! Two wires for the LED, and two for the power to the relays under the seats.

Found a pair in the end, but difficult to find at sensible price, and they have different connectors for left & right. Also they are year specific, so check before buying.
