Usually they don't have any kind of issues in that area. What is your problem?
 
Can the idle speed be adjusted manually?
manual methods .. none that i've found .. [ bar a stick on pedal ;-]

however .. i'd like a switch to up the idle rpm to a set value
so far ..
only thought about adapting something to the go-pedal wiring circuit ..
[ though .. not sure if it would be legal to do so ..
[ on the other hand .. there be an outfit that makes cruise-control units

No. The idle speed can't be adjusted, unless you have LR diagnostic equipment (called T4).

You could put the heater on full speed, which will cause the EDC to increase engine speed slightly, so the alternator makes more power.
