like you said get him to check it all tomorrowYes both connected to the new earth point.
thats good then hopefully he will get you sortedJust had a call from the fitter, thankfully the one that fitted it,he'll be with me about midday
thats good at least you know the screen not ****ed and have to come outWell he's been, fitted the top trim and removed the bottom one and the plenium cover then stepped back whilst I trested the wiring and the screen. The screen is fine there is no power to the screen connector I've already checked the relays so it's either the purple/ light green wire from the fuse box to the screen or the box its self ,job for another day me thinks.
Two fuses numbers#30&32 feed two relays #4&5 its the output wire from 5 to the screen that i've got to check as the relay is working and a live into the relay I'll power it up tomorrow but I've a feeling the fault is in the fuse box internals I'll work something out.thats good at least you know the screen not ****ed and have to come out
do you know if both connections run from separate fuses or the same one
didn't know if you could bypass one connection to the other and work it that way or would it be to muchTwo fuses numbers#30&32 feed two relays #4&5 its the output wire from 5 to the screen that i've got to check as the relay is working and a live into the relay I'll power it up tomorrow but I've a feeling the fault is in the fuse box internals I'll work something out.![]()
Probably too many amps through one cable to run both sides. Everything seemed to check out today. Resistance on both sides of the screen when using the plugs from the fuse box to earth. Relays working the only thing was one of the 30amp fuses appeared to have a dodgy connection. Left it out of the garage hoping for frost otherwise I'll be cutting a branch off a shrub and giving it a dam good thrashing a la Faulty Towers.didn't know if you could bypass one connection to the other and work it that way or would it be to much

Touche me thinksHeated front screen come in hand when you`ve been sat in the car drinking hot tea and it steams the inside of screen up, push the button and you can see all the lines as the steam clears off the screen, just sayin like.
Thanks Brian.
Yup,reading up I think its 6 minutes. ThanksWhen i got mine replaced ,The fitter sprayed the new screen with an alcohol cleaner which steamed off to prove it worked ,,,,Mind it only works for 2 minutes then switches off ,theirs a timer somewhere save power..
Checked that out Brian,it was by @biketeacherdave ,he gave another link which now doesn't exist. If I open the fuse box up I may be stuck for parts, sods law I threw an old one out when I cleared the garage
Heated front screen come in handy
You could just fix your blend motorsTouche me thinks![]()
