Whats the best way to bleed a clutch on a 200tdi is it manually or do i need to buy a bleeding kit having never done it before.

I found a thing in halfords called "Gunson eezibleed" about £17. It was spot on an i cant fault it. Uses the pressure (no more than 20 psi) from ur spare tyre to push it around the system. Clears the crap an air out in no time at all. All i would suggest you get is some PTFE tape from a diy or plumbing merchants to put on the threads just incase there not airtight as u would'nt want brake/clutch fluid flying out! Also seen this for sale in screwfix an probably on ebay.

i got a gunson thing from halfords for 5 or 6 quid that just uses the pedal pressure, just a one way valve, tube and plastic bottle i guess. worked for me every time. not bad on brakes either.

i have had an eezi bleed for years, its the best way to bleed both the clutch and brakes. as for using ptfe, i dont understand why. the screw caps are designed to fit on the master cylinder and i have always found them a good fit. i can only suggest you cross threaded yours slightly if it ****ed fluid out. and if it didnt what ever would lead you to think it "might"

best way I have found is fill the res up, crack the bled nipple open, press clutch pedel once. have a cuppa. then tighten bleed nipple. i.e. gravity bleed it :D

The thread on my master cylinder was really short so the cap was tight before the rubber seal was not making contact with anything. So abit of ptfe sorted the job. Have recently replaced the master cylinder tho an there is a proper sized thread on it so didnt need the ptfe the second time around. Perhaps it was just me bein an over excited plumber that i am!!
