Hello , living in west coast of USA and trying to find a backup key with fob for 2000 Discovery 2.

Dealer wants ridiculous amount of money.
Any alternatives??

well, well, well, UK folks won't be any help. choice is either a dealer, or a good lock smith shop can cut you a new key. SIL lost a fob for his f150 dealer wanted lots of $$$$ and lock shop had the talent and stuff to make him a new fob, for about 1/2 of dealer prices. But he had to show ownership of the vehicle and insurance. So good luck.

Thor’s a yank too so knows what’s what over there.
Imagine it would be difficult to source a parts vehicle for new set with locks etc.
