hi very very poor heater on the beastie,can i bypass the heater valve in the engine bay?if so does all 3 pipes need to be joined ,or just 2 of them? if so which ones to see if its faulty,any help would be great.

It could be the blend motors inside the dashboard heater assembly. L322 heads needed here!!

Well diag would point to blend motors if it's that.

I'd much rather fix the problem than muck about doing something which may not improve the situation.

I may be wrong but I think this was covered recently, some bypass valve behind the glove compartment or accessible via.

Maybe not that simple, what engine and does it get up to temp ( gauge more or less straight up) two valves are for heat each side and third is to do with fuel burning heater (kind of) somebody on here (well I think it was on here) not long ago had problems with third valve not letting water flow where it should you might find it if you do a search if its working that is (forum keeps going out on strike hamster not getting fed enough I think).

THird pipe is the return from the heater matrix.

I will have to see if I can find my coolant circuit diagram.

I would be checking for airlocks first, and the ensuring the heater valves are indeed opening as required.

Yeah but with ant diagram I fixed mine with a new heater valve and auxiliary pump !
