Nah, it used tae be a mountain rescue, and the bulkhead was cut tae take the stretchers (ah think)

I towed my vauxhall astra back from Edinburgh when I picked up my defender. First time I had towed long distance on an a frame. Completely different to the usual few miles I am used too.

Ah couldn't get over 20mph!!! Me front end was all over the place anything above that
Me missus come oot tae meet me and said ah should've had the engine runnin' to make it easier. Little did ah know, me mate who ah got it from had phoned up to see if ah had made it home ok and told her to say that!!!!!

I woulda thought it woulda been yer back end twitching rather than the front!!! (and the landys ) Wot with the weight pushing it around.

i keep on at my missus to let me have a defender but it's not working she say's there for farmers
what is the best defender? i want one to tow and of course go green laning what you think?

The plan is (just now) if there's anything the bus needs sorting, then ah'll take it of the new one, fix it up a bit and swap it over. This way ah can keep the bus on the road. My biggest thing is the (td5)bulkhead replacement, but now ah've got a template for the gearbox tunnel and all the bits that bolt on to the bulkhead, ah can take my time now The rear tub is a wee bit rotten, so ah thought ah could use that as a trailer body. But this is just an idea for now, ah might just do it up

Not to sure, but for me the 200tdi, easiest to work on so suits me just fine
