Morning Folks,

Just an update , got a genuine Clutch & Slave cylinder fitted yesterday , and what a difference . Now what I am getting when I press the pedal for the clutch is a click majority of the time. The mechanic did say that on top of the Clutch pedal there is a plastic style ball joint which has a lot of play but could not see the part online , would this mean a new pedal ?

Gearbox oil replaced also.

Usually because the clutch release arm seizes where it goes through the bell housing - however, if you've just had a new clutch installed presumably its not seized at the moment.

Worth doing a visual though.

If it's a TD4, then there's nothing to flex.

If it's a 1.8 or L series diesel, then the lever in the box seizes, causing the flex.
Good point - if it was just the slave replaced then it will be the TD4 unless its got non-standard hydraulics.
