Has anyone tried the britpart starter motor? If so, are they any good or would ah be better using a recon starter?
Cheers;) :D

Forgot to say about the prices....
britpart one is £81.25 +vat and the (exchange) recon (poss valeo) is £114 +vat

****e mate! fetched 2 for me series one after the other both crap, they ended up giving me a bearmach one for the same money after they tried to give me a presto****e one as well so i would stop abusing them

i,ve had good stuff from them as well mainly electrical fitments switches and lights cylinders and **** like that all the bad stuff i,ve had they eventually admitted they had problems with, inlet manifold,startersx2 parabolic springs 1 set standard springs 1 set not bad over 12 months hey!
even ended up with paul meyers mobile number(there M.D.)
because of the issues we ended up discussing the problems with quality

the MD of britpart was invited to come here and discuss the quality of Britparts, he never replied. this was after a few emails from him saying how good their stuff was and that they take complains seriously. seems he chickened out after he refunded yer man fer his pasta springs

tis true mate, paddocks gave me a refund straight off for the rears so i had to remind them i had a full set, so i would like the money back for a full set, only got the cheque for the parabolics set from island 4x4 just afore chrimbo although meyers had allready ok,ed it,they wouldnt release any money until they had got their credit note for em,so to say there where a few more phone calls and emails that didnt get posted on here is an understatement, but it were a cunning plan that mate he would,nt get involved in quality issues just basically here have your money and F**k OFF,said sorry but that was as good as it gets, still got the parabolics in the shed still awaiting collection, AND NO I AINT BOUGHT ANY NEW UNS
moneys still in the bank till the weather picks up. I had to wait so they can

and another thing!
when you tek stuff back, why is it no problem if it aint britpart they just exchange it if its duff for ya
but when you tek your britpart stuff back its
oh we will have to send it back to the suppLIER to have alook?

I'd get that sort of stuff from a local independent auto electricians. If their fitting them they should be a decent quality.
