All my airbags and sensors were replaced at 88k so yes they will be tired by now so I have a spare set ready and waiting, probably fit them this weekend
BUT

Why doesn't she self level?????
If an air bag is porous, ok it will sink, but the others should do so too
If I go to high and leave it over night, sometimes it stays up and level, and other times the entire passenger side sinks, but drivers side stays up.
Other times from normal height passenger side sinks over night but drivers side stays up, or maybe raises a bit.
I can even be driving along road not level.
Why?
If sensors were knackered then surely she would never be level?

Possibly depends how the bag folds as the leaks tend to be where the bag folds over? Just guessing though.

As above. It can only self level up to a maximum number of millimetres per hour. Cannot remember the number. 6mm?

imagine it’s totally useless info but learning about air suspension on my D3, ref different components

could a faulty or intermittent solonoid in the valve block cause this issue ???

i better get my coat ;)

Thanks folks
So you reckon that both bags on one side are leaking?
But I can be driving along qute happily level and another day be drastically unlevel.
If the solenoid was faulty would that not cause a fault?

Same principle so anything is possible. Solenoids tend to be pretty bullet proof although the cones on the end can wear and start to leak. Sometimes the air-dryer compound breaks down and the white dust gets pulled into the valve block and causes havoc. Sometimes the connector to the driver's pack gets a little dodgy and filing he pins and squeezing them up so they pinch nice and tightly solves intermittent or dancing issues.

With my EAS the first thing I always do is park up on high, pull the delay timer and leave her overnight or longer if I can. If she stays put I figure there probably aren't any leaks, although the way the bags fold mean it might only open on standard height. The emergency inflation kits tend to leak so make sure that's out the equation if fitted.

When parked up max 8 mm levelling every six hours. A 15 mm drop over a twenty four hour period is considered normal. ;)

Ok didnt realise the amount of travel was limited.
I suspect one bag has gone porous rather than a straight leak.
Thats why I have a new set to fit.
The puzzling bit to me is that it is not one corner dropping but its one side that drops, as if it is self levelling on the one side

thks, i had an intermittent leak that sometimes was fine at different levels, removed the fuse to stop it self levelling over night and found by setting it at different levels it was the front near side

on removing the strut i then tested it to prove it was faulty , pumped the strut up with a foot pump and found no leak, but then as i increased the pressure to around 40psi i found it using washing up liquid , which working it out was around the off road height , but in normal or access height wouldn’t leak

enclosed some pics and indeed ur spot on ref the way bags fold and only leaking at certain heights, but like an idiot i didn’t soap test the middle of the strut when it was fitted, but in return learnt a lot

indeed understanding a lot more as this being my first air suspension landy , had that white silica in everything , did fit new seals on the 3 x valves blocks and then used a vacuum pump to ensure they were sealing , alas all letting by so blew out the entire system, undoing all the pipes and blowing the silica out, fitted new, compressor , air tank, front rear and reservoir valve block and front struts , made a massive difference to the ride and at last it stays constant over night at all different levels

system on mine had been really neglected and know it took some work but felt it was well worth it

learnt so much from ur good self and others and that is always really appreciated

The L322 EAS is totally different to the P38.
