Driver and passengers seats in my 3 door series 1 200tdi are very poorly. Need to swap but with what? No decent originals out there so is there an alternative that doesn't involve getting involved? Will later model seats fit or other makes plonk in?

Anybody any experience of this?

Are the disco, 3 door seat like other 3 door seats as they have got a lever so they fold down so people can get in the back. On teh 5 door models there is no way of doing this.
Only thing I can think of is that you take the covers off some 5 door ones and re-cover yours.

The seats are the tip forward type. Not that this matters for me as have turned vehicle in to a van/commercial.
Have tried specialist breakers but the seats would cost more than the vehicle's worth. Will be off-roading and using for work so reluctant to spend quids.
Flea-bay nothing doing at the moment but seats out of later models.
Not sure about fitting these though in an earlier model.

Seat covers might be the way to go. Then again they are also expensive.

More suggestions welcome.
