Aye for our jack Russell and Labrador except they've had the snip . TBH we've got traveller sites around the area, most problems are farm machinery. Couldn't give a ****e about steering locks etc.

There is a company who make a device called The rat catcher, they are based in Grantham and ir works on locking the driveshaft handbreak. Very neat system by pricey.

It's called Rat Trap and it is only for Defenders (and Discos?) and you ain't kidding it's expensive at over £500. Spinney Engineering.

I've just bought a cheap tracker which I've been testing over the last couple of days. It cost £40 +£15 for the credit on the SIM card. I know cheap ones are not brilliant but so far it's done pretty well, it still picks up a signal when the landy is parked in a steel framed building with concrete block walls and its positioning is pretty accurate. I've not wired it in properly or anything but so far, I'm quite impressed. I know trackers don't stop the car from being stolen but you can't rely on the police getting it back so you need to take matters into your own hands.

I'm sure I've seen one advertised (Craddocks?) that's for Series landys. It works by fitting a replacement bracket on the handbrake fairer which has two brackets with a bar to which you fit a padlock. Not wholly unbeatable but a deterrent.

I saw an article about this in Farmers Weekly but maybe they have expanded their range since then. Can't see them selling many at that price though...

I am developing a new security system that allows you to take a complete wheel with you once parked up.


It will mean fitting a full set of the modified wheels but early tests are promising.


I am looking for funding and have applied to appear on dragons den.

When you say miss my last one do you mean ignore that I go metal detecting?
