Hi Grumpy, that's the type I have. Did you blow from the top or bottom?

Now now - I didn't blow at all.... the tyre did all the blowing.

There's no reservoir at the bottom, so it has to be the top....

It got him round the Ten Countries run around Europe the week later.

But it'll probably rust out and fall to bits shortly though....

I've not seen the TD4 master, but with the Stag, the kit had a connector for the air valve on the wheel and on the other end of the tube was a cap. You take the cap off the reservoir and put on the one from the kit. I don't know if all reservoirs have a 'standard' cap or there are different kits with different caps or the kits come with multiple caps that you push the pipe onto.

There was an on/off lever to turn the air on/off.

There are multiple cap kits available. Reverse bleeding is easier though, as bleed nipples are all very similar in size.

...and the air bubbles would be traveling in a direction that they 'want' to float to.

As it happens, I just remembered that the first time we used the pressure bleed it did work betterer - but still wasn't fantastic. Then noticed that the slave cylinder was bolted so that the bleed nipple wasn't at the top. So unbolted the slave, and unclipped the ram from the release arm and rotate the cylinder so the bleed nipple was at the top. This time when it was pressure bled.....

...the ram went flying out the end of the cylinder and fluid everywhere

So did it again, making sure the ram stayed in place, bolted and clipped it all back together and it was perfect.

Replaced master cylinder, bled system, no bubbles. Still need to put pedal to the floor to change gear, reverse is a bitch to get out of. Clutch change on the cards I think. Has anybody had experience of the solid flywheel conversion?
