Make sure that when you cut it you cut it square and a pencil sharpener to chamfer it a wee bit. Don't cut it with a knife

If you need to bent it, you just apply a little heat to it I think? dont you?

I made a former out of wood so that the pipe is held in shape while it cools. If you had told us what block in your first post I could have advised you and posted a photo but it's too dark and scary to go out to my garage now.
