Right am looking to buy a landy for a bit of green laneing and putting the old mountain bikes in for trips up to wales.

The budget is 2k to 3k ish.

for that kind of money the discoverys look good and come with the 200tdi or 300tdi motor.

but i still quite like the look of the defenders/90's but at that money the motor seems to be the older 2.5 td are these motors any good??.

any thoughts on which landy would be better.

For long motorway trips go for the disco much more comfortable/quieter and will go anywhere a Defender will unless your into extreme Pay & Play offroading

But you only got 3 seats

7 or 6 in my case (took one out) is much more usefull And ya can get ya bikes on the bike rack over spare wheel

Frankie I would go with the disc cos it sounds like a 110 CSW wouldn't be suitable

Aye in the front Get at least anither 8 in the back depending on size And if ye wanted, ye could get a bigger roof rack or like Ian sez a rack over yer spare wheel tae put yer bikes on
The other advantage with a 110 is, if any one has an accident, they can lie flat in the back of the motor

They are thought a lot were interchageable

I see you pushing the 110 and I am pushing the disco

you can get a newer disco

(not that it matters)
