Bit of an odd one but does anyone know when the 'folding' wheel brace was changed for the standard all one piece one?

Sounds about right, my June '87 Vouge has the folding version too.

I know this will throw the cat in amongst the pigeons but I had a folding one on my 1979 3 door, but my 1988 ex-police one had a solid wheel brace.

Plod would have to go on a three day course before they were allowed to change a wheel.
