Nice easy question for a Saturday, but has anyone found an easy way of removing the little black trim fastener things that are left in the door after you've removed the panel? I've got a couple out buy cutting the fronts off, but then the back falls off and will end up rattling around until the end of time.

I'm just getting it ready for the chequer plate, but the rivnuts that I've got are slightly too big to fit inside the black things, but will fit if I can get them out.

Yeah, the rear door, not the side doors.

So, finally managed to pay a visit to one of our local metal fabricators, and showed them what I wanted, and the response was, "Oh, you'd be better of buying one off the Internet as it'll be cheaper".

I'd be tempted to drill fresh holes and use Rivnuts in the door and some nice domed headed screws instead of trying to use what's there already.
