Hi have a issue with the air suspension on my 2000 range rover p38, the air suspension failed, I have replaced the air compressor pump, checked for leaks on the all pipes, checks air bags no leaks there, the eas fault warning is on and will not clear, have checked all fuses and relay, checked the air compressor on an other rr p38 and is working, tried the eas software along with the eas kicker but am unable to clear the eas fault.

any help in this matter and I would be gratefull.

Hi sorry when the eas software is plugged in shows fl height incorrect same with all four side apart from that it is showing no other errors or codes. the vehicle has dropped to bump stops and have not drivin it. on the dash it is showing the high ride height symbol and the eas fault along with max 35mph.

Try putting some air in by running the compressor for ten minutes with software.

Nothing runs, have tried the pump on a different RRp38 and it runs up. but as soon as I try it inmine nothing just the eas fault beeps. all sides have now been rised using the emergency air valves and are holding there pressure fine. just dont want to drive it like it is unless it is urgent.

As Wammers says above, use the software to run the pump and fill the tank.

could be a faulty driver pack or dirty connections try unpluging connectors in compressor box and reconnecting

Hi so far tried
The Relay, fuses f29 and f40 all three show no damage, swapped a working relay just in case rely was blowen, no change, have tested the compressor using the relay jumper method compressor runs, checked for leaks using soapy water on all pipes and air bags none found. connected the laptop and used the eas software, tx valves show 1 & ff but the rx values shows random two digits not the ff values. tried the eas reset tool the kicker no joy.
now when the eas software is connected it shows faults see attached jpg.
am currently considering fitting emergency air valves to allow use of the vehicle. 20170312_160140.jpg 20170312_160204.jpg 20170312_160235.jpg 20170312_160308.jpg 20170312_160311.jpg

how would I be able to sort the bad comms out.

Clean the ODB connector. Make sure no green in there. I think there is a connector block behind the kick panel in the passenger well (RHD cars) that gets corroded and people often just snip out and solder and heatshrink wrap.

A wee fibreglass brush from Maplins works wonderfully on corroded connections

it does look like bad comms, try adjusting the idle speed on the eas software. Mine runs happy at 50-75. There are a lot of really random numbers in there??
