dunt fablon come in an assortment of patterns ? - prolly even do a checker plate version

I used a sheet of plain 1mm stainless fitted with Self tapping screws. but you could use aluminium if you wanted just not chequer plate.

someone sells a pre cut 3mm ali plate version on ebay fer £26, unless you can get the sheet for nowt it's prolly not worth the time making one yerself
