All,
I've got an exhaust leak in my 2005 TD4 engine. I'd had a similar leak last year coming up on the passenger side of the engine which ended up being from a split flexible section on the exhaust down pipe. This time the fumes are on the drivers side of the engine, and appear to be rising up from around the turbo area, although I can't pinpoint the source (it's difficult to see exhaust).
Has anyone experienced this or have an idea what the likely (if common) fault may be? (I'm hoping a split hose/ loose clip than failed turbo seals).

Can't say fairer than that.

If you're having trouble tracing an exhaust leak then getting a friend to hold a rag over the end sometimes helps.

water in a spray bottle finds exhaust leaks in no time, with a friend holding a rag on the tail pipe, (as said above)
