Here's a question......
I have ordered a pair of auxiliary driving lights for my 2004 Facelift Hippo. They come with a generic switch but I am hoping to find a factory switch to do a neat installation.
All the dash spaces are full but there are a couple of blanks in the console next to the handbrake.
I am hoping that there is an on-off type switch that will fit there, the same pattern as the sunroof and tailgate switches. Any suggestions?

There's an auxiliary switch panel that goes in the little cubby to the side of the steering wheel. I'll try to find a pic. They crop up on eBay occasionally

I've got both a spare spot switch (in dark grey) and a black 2 space blank plate which you could take off my hands for a few beer tokens. There's a carrier unit behind the cover which I'm not sure I've got, I'd need to check. However I suspect that postage to Canada would make sending them out to you prohibitive anyway.

Thanks Guys! I do have a switch panel there but it's hidden away so I didn't think of it. The only switch there now is the cruise control on/off switch with a blank beside it. Nodge, do you think the spot lamp switch you have would fit? If so maybe we can make a deal. Hippo parts here are few and far between.

I've got to admit it would be fun to fit one of these panels though!

Yes that's the panel.
Yes the switch I have will fit but it's dark grey, not black. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow

last time i wanted one of those switches they were still avalable from LR for a reasonable price, it was a few years ago now though

Nothing from LR is reasonable over here and I don't think the staff in the local LR parts department even know what a Freelander is.
They make all of their money on collision and warranty on Range Rovers . When a sucker walks in off the street there is no hope of a discount.

I'm struggling to post a picture of switch I have. You'll also need a connector for it, but you might be able to use one that's already there, normally used for the PDC.
I'll try to post a picture tomorrow when I'm near a faster connection.
