Safer with the thin ali between cylinders on the 94mm bore engines. 74deg is race spec / track day only imo, but 82 is fine with flapper / hotwire efi.

When the Prefix to a query is 'Disco 2' that does make it specific to a D2. When the Prefix is 'Other' it isn't.

As stated I'm not that interested therefore don't have a parts catalog for a D2, so a good reason to asked the OP where they have seen a lower temp thermostat.
Perhaps if you get the time, you would like to put-up the information on the two you know off to help other D2 owners, whom for what ever reason, wish or thinking about moving away the standard UK spec thermostat.

I'm asking cos years ago, I had a Freelander and bought a new thermostat for it and never got around to fit it. Apparently, it'll fit a Disco 2 but it's got a lower opening temperature. I was hoping to use it rather than buy another one!

Yes it will fit it and at 82deg it won't trigger fuel enrichment.

Which made me think, why bother posting, especially as you don't know the answer
That being said I was reading recent posts and didn't realise it was in the rrc drag act category :D
