I've searched for 3 pigging days now is there a specialist washer that goes on the Bango nut into power steering pump I have replaced the pump and a pipe from pump to steering box but cannot stop the bloody thing from leaking tried copper washers metal washers fibre washers even rubber washers and it just keeps peeing out of the bottom of the Bango fitting

Sorry folks back again since I put the dowty washers on m14s I've had to replace these at least 6 times as it's just decides for no apparent reason to start to leak fluid from the bottom one to the point of reservoir being empty and pump stars to scream for fluid some washers last days others last a week any ideas please

Using M14 as was said at start of thread I've even bought more just in case the first ones we're dodgy batch

Sorry to badger this point....and you're sure the thread is M14 on the union/banjo you are sealing?

I have heard our Hydraulic Engineers talking amongst themselves about Dowty Seals, and you have to get the correct one for the thread size and type.

I got the ones from the eBay link for the first ones which just slid on and then I went to a local hydraulic place for the second lot they are a tighter fit if I can get to a phone during office hours I might just try Landrover to rule it out I need to be on the road due to my shifts

Do you know the exact size required.....no promises, but I can ask our Hyd. Fitters if they have any kicking about.....

Perhaps someone like Pirtek can help you. They make and repair hydraulic pipes etc and I think they are nationwide.

There 14 mil Saint that's what wammers said earlier in post

Can't see how they are leaking unless you are damaging them on fitting or the surfaces are marked. They have V shaped rubber bonded on that seals against the mating surfaces by the pressure exerted on them. Rather in the same way as an O'ring. It is possible to cut the rubber off a failed one with a sharp blade and use a suitable O'ring inside the outer washer.

I can give it a try wammers , it's just odd that it leaks at the same place the mating surface are clean 6 litres off fluid I've had to put in during the last 4 weeks was thinking of changing the pump and Bango to see if that remedies the problem as the bolt is getting a bit chewed with taking it off and on so often

If the mating surfaces are clean and totally free from burrs or marks i cannot see how it is leaking. Dowty washers are good for many hundreds of PSI nothing like that in the power steering circuit.
