I took my cup holder out of the dash as it had some coke spilled on it and needed a clean. I now cant get it back in, i cant figure out where the spring is supposed to locate.
Had a look on rave but that only shows removing the full unit so no help.

sort of play with it, pushing in and out you will see where it locates as to push the holder out!

Been here myself study it have a beer go back to it, and hopefully it will happen.
Yes they are a pain, have a look at one in back arm rest see if it gives you a clue

I guess you can, i just played around untill i got it back that odd shaped spring was a cow i seem to remember
Sorry i cant be moor help its was a few years ago, but i know it took me a few hours to sort it.
Off to look at rave parts manual see what i can find for you
