hey im ben i have just started a car mecanices course and would love to have a cheap landy 110 to restore any idears where to get one from? ie under £1000 if possable

Try the local scrappy and welcum tae the mad hooose

yeah thanks for that advice, i love a good **** take (all in good spirit!) and will try the scrappy soon as poss.

any one tell me the kinda MPG a 110 dose? will it cripple me in fuel?

Depends on the engine

2.5 n/a diesel approx 25/28mpg (but you can run it on veg oil at 50p per litre
3.5 V8 petrol 12-17mpg
2.5 petrol 20/25mpg

Theres half a doz on ebay with less than 12 hrs to go under £1000 at the moment.

no do a search there's loads of sites, forums etc out there that cover this subject. but basicially the diesel was designed to run on Peanut Oil and will happily run on veg oil. Some injector pumps (early Lucas ones especially) need the oil to be preheated as it is too thick when cold. but I run my disco 50/50 veg oil/diesel and she runs great. actually runs better thhan on straight diesel.

No you can use upto 2500ltrs of veg oil before you have to pay the duty on it. it's classed as bio-diesel. Like I said do a web search there's tonnes of info out there. Try this link www.mud-club.com :: View topic - running on cooking oil
