you could of course buy a couple of keys off ebay for about £6 each and put the chip from your original key on the ignition barrel and the blank keys will both work, a remote will have to be coded in to the car though.
personally I would not do it that way and you also risk the insurance saying you are not covered, if anybody was to break in it would be so easy to take the car as all they would need is a screw driver down the barrel of the ignition and they are off.

top of the barrel worked for me, hold it on various places while putting blank key and trying it, but as teddywood1 says safer to buy a "proper" key as soon as.
