Just had spanner on crankshaft bolt and I couldnt turn engine. Is this bad news?

Would there be any point in getting a nanocom when dashboard didnt indicate anything wrong?

Update
Put socket and tommy bar on and still couldn't turn engine.
Local independent garage going to take engine or gearbox off and see what is wrong.
Will update when I know more

Update
I now know what was wrongf. Gearbox now out.
The flywheel has a ring attached for the starter motor.
Attached to, and inside that, is a ring with lots of wee lug things. No idea what its for.
Anyway these rings are bolted to flywheel with four set pins. One had come loose and had fallen out damaging the lugs and then, presumably as I drove her up the ramp for recovery wagon, the set pin jammed between the flywheel and the bell housing.

those wee lugs (reluctor ring)is what the crank sensor uses

Plate with 8 lugs is for CPS sensor. They produce a signal to ECU as they pass the sensor. Anyway you now know what was wrong.

Yep I now know. It was really annoying me lol. And thank goodness is not a new engine or gear box.
If these lugs were damaged I guess thats why engine wouldnt rev too as computer wasnt playing.
Thank you everybody for your help
