Thought I'd drop a note and say hello to everyone. I'm not a stranger to the world of landies, having helped hubby with his over the last couple of years (i.e. handed him tools lol), but have just ventured into actual ownership with my very own 300Tdi Disco 1. She's a lovely girl, already well kitted for roads less tarmac-ed, but a wee bit incontinent on the oil front so I think I shall be wandering over to the Disco boards for advice rather soon!
Lovely to "meet" you all :)

Welcome to the loonyzone! :)
And congrats on getting yer own Disco. That should be a nice motor if it aint too rusty.

She's got a wee hole in the boot sill (if that's the right term) which hubby has promised to weld up when it's not chucking it down. It's reassuring being married to a mechanic who can weld! Otherwise she's been waxoyled regularly and had the usual bits welded already. Years ago I drove around in an ex's K-reg Disco 1 which was an utter rust bucket so I knew what to look for! She seems to have been pretty well taken care of - it's niggles and a bit of an epic oil leak that I need to deal with at the moment. Even the central locking still works lol :D
