Here's one for you.. I was changing my coolant hoses the other day and notice the EGR vacuum pump on the top of my 2.5 diesel engine... Ive blanked the EGR but is this still needed or can I unplug it from the small vacuum pump thing on the bulk head?

You can take it off and fit the blanking plate from the earlier version plus Wammers tells me the centre bolt.
Otherwise leave it be, I have my EGR disconnected and I just blocek the pipe from the modulator valve so I can just re-connect of the Control Technique (MOT).

Do they check it on the MoT test these days?

Not sure, but unpluging the electrics from the modulator valve may throw a fault. Just leave it be.
