Thought I'd say hello as I've just bought myself a new toy. A 2002 L322 V8 4.4 range rover. Got it at the right price however it needs a new engine. So gonna need a lot of help from you guys please.

If the engine is fecked, think gearbox and torque convertor too
An engine will cost you more than the car is worth

Why don't you be the first to do a 300Tdi engine & box into L322 conversion.

Gearbox I was told is fine. Apparently the water pump failed and he continued to drive it until it seized. However he was stopped and in neutral when the thing finally locked up.

That's as maybe, but the gearboxes are made of chocolate and don't last long.
