In looking into the vibration at 2K issue, I reckon there's a slight misfire too. Sometimes, there's a chugging around 1500 or so.

I've cleaned the ecu plug and loom a couple of times over the last few months, getting rid of the residual oil, having fitted a cheap injector loom. Can the plugs themselves give issues regardless of capillary action?

Should I go for a LR one or whatever's on ebay?

I know you think it is injector loom connected, but have you cleaned the MAP recently? If in doubt have a look.
