boz, a local garage will charge you a rortune after ;lots of sharp intakes of breath. its not that big a job to do and bushes dont cost that much to buy. if you want poly bushes then go for deflex. they are as good as actual polybush but half the pice and are made locally in north wales. a full bush kit will cost you about 70 quid and the its just fitting them. you just burn the old ones out then remove the metal sleeves, fit the new uns and robert's yer mother's brother

i dint care about sensitive ffs, all i can say is, yer must have some money if yer can afford ter go ter holdsworthy, i bet he always finds something else wrong when it goes in there. i'll tell yer how bad he ios, the lad i had my series off took it to him for an mot. he told him it needed 700 quids worth of welding on the chassis alone. 2 plates and a pair of outriggers later, the chassis is like brand new.he also tried to tell me that my 200tdi needed tappet cups as they were rattling, there was nowt wrong with it.

So about £100 parts and £400 labour. I wish some one would pay me £400 a day.

I watched him fix it himself. Took 20 mins and involved a new switch. No WD40. As for the rest of it I still reckon it was good service and a good job done. How many of you have actually been there and dealt with him or are you all basing his business on what others might have said. I am a believer in making my own mind up about people in an unbiased way. So far I dont have a problem. I dont think the £500 would have gone very far at Conwy.

Switch what switch Difflock dunt have a switch it's operated by a lever and linkage. There's a switch to operate the dash light but it don't stop the diff from working.

Fortunately I've never had the dilemma of which garage to go to as I can't afford any of em Went into Conwy LR for a look round one day and they looked at us like we were there to pinch something so **** them. To me the beauty of owning Land Rovers is that I can generally fix the bloody things meself, and if I can't I'll ask somebody here how to do it

Quite true, But there is a switch for the light and if the CDL hasnt been used for a long time the plunger on it can seize which prevents the levers going all the way. I watched him change it, he showed me the old seized one and it worked afterwards so it was not blarney!

You did mention the switch but you implied that this switch couldnt possibly have anything to do with the operation of the CDL. In fact you were wrong.
