I've got the dreaded MOT later in the week, so see this space... !!!
good luck took mine last month & it failed the headlight was out of aim, funnily enough the other headlight was the same last year anyway he adjusted it & then passed it i did notice mots are getting really really strict compared to not so many years ago

It's the first once I'll have put it through so slightly worried TBH, I'm doing it as early as poss (expires next month) so gives me some time to rectify any (all,some lol) issues....or try to !!
I think during the 45 min wait maybe a lil bit of the brown stuff may come out !!

Well don't we just love Range Rovers!!!!!
Booked her in for MOT For tomorrow morn.
Went out to give it a little running over and flush PAS fluid again and generally 'tinker'
Then a hissing noise as I started clearing up the tools. front O/S air bags started 'hissing'...great !!!! It's original, so not bad, 12yrs old. N/S is started to perish too, so 2 New bags on order to be delivered tomorrow and £400 later... You can guess what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Now, Had a tug on the front lower suspension arm bush (as talked about at top of post) and whilst pushing/pulling on it hard, there's a lot of movement in the bush. Is this norm or another MOT failure...?!?

Not sure on the rest but the bush on the lower arm appears pretty shagged.
No knocking or anything though.
First things first.....Air bags then MOT .....!!

Lower suspension arms need cutting out (standard procedure) due to bolts seizing,
Be prepared to buy a whole new arm plus bolts/washers/nuts etc etc (arms come with bushes normally)

If it fails it fails I will get them done. But there's no common signs of faulty bushes (albeit the bush does seem a bit far gone, but no banging or knocking). I don't see the point in changing all the bushes if they don't need doing.
It's actually the upper track control arm bushes that appear shot on both sides not the lower arm.
It's like any old motor, where do you stop in terms of changing bits and bobs......
