Hi all,
Right I'm having water loss issues,
once the rr is hot and stationary it leaks water bad, once I rev it stops leaking been under the rr had the water pump off twice new gaskets even put red seal on as well but still pees water out once hot? I'm having to top up daily probably a couple of pints any advice before I get a match out had nothing but issues with this one 😠 I can't see where it's coming from

I'm guessing you cant see the water dripping out from under the RR ? if not lift your drivers floor mat and feel the carpet is it wet?

We could do with details about the RR as well age fuel type...

Hi it's Thor 4.6 had new water pump a few months back due to bearing, was fine for a few thousand miles but then started losing water, u can see it dripping underneath but only when it's hot I honestly can't see where it's coming from thought it to be water pump so 're fitted it with new gasket and red seal with no luck I thought it could be the thermostat but not sure why that would make it pee water out it does stop leaking when u rev it ?

Could be anything...split hose that opens up when the pressure in the system rises due to temp...

Split rad opening and closing when warm and when pressure increases....

Split front cover, Valley Gasket, time to check every hose, joint, pipe etc...adding a flurescent dye could help locate it...not sure where you can get it from though!

Whereabouts is the leak on the floor? Left front, right rear of engine bay etc??

It runs down the the lower hoses (stat) also over oil filter pretty central I was thinking a burst pipe as it over heated a while back due to a gasket fail. But can I arse see it for a engine with so much room around it would think it a easy find but also it only happens when hot makes it hard to see without getting burnt

If you think it is a burst hose, may as well replace them all, it is cheap enough to do so!

Gotta love Range Rovers!!

O yer u have! looks like that's my day off sorted then really do hope it is cheers pal

mine was the plastic reservoir on top of the Rad... New rad fitted.. all sorted..
look for hairline cracks between the little ribs .. when it's warm you can press on them and a little water will seep.
worth a look
