Just brought a new Raptor console intending to move the standard switches (heated rear window, hazard, rear fog) use the existing wires where possible to my lately acquired D90 300Tdi Hard Top 1996. I read the threads on what to buy and types of console available and those who fitted them said it was easy (mostly). What I'm uncertain about is how to get the existing wiring to the centre of the vehicle from the current position on the RHS of the steering wheel. Will I have to take the whole dash etc apart to move them, run new wires, or is there a simpler way?
Tried searching but couldn't find any specific help.

Also, whats the best way to wire the radio/CD to the console?

I did away with the switches on the RH side of the steering-wheel and instead used Carling switches in my Raptor dash. Raptor also sell the blanking panel for the old switch position.
Needless to say that the existing wires aren't long enough and you will certainly need to extend them. You can cut the plugs off, extend the cables and then re-solder the plugs on so that all connections remain the same. Alternatively you can make up some new harnesses with male-female plugs so you can extend the cables to the Raptor console but this also gives you the option to revert back to OE (if you should ever feel the need) with the minimum of effort.
Whichever way, you are going to have to remove the instrument binnacle which is no big deal.

P.S. I really recommend fitting the Raptor trim-panel as well, finishes it off nicely.

I only bought mine a couple of months ago so it's not in the (old) photos posted above but it fits easily and is neater than the old plastic trim.
I would have gone for the glove-box as well but that is where I have fitted the aux fuse-box & relays so unfortunately that is out of the question.

No.
The existing plugs only fit the existing switches and won't extend to the centre-console. I cut off the old plugs, extended the wires (using the correct colour-codes) and then used the Carling connectors. There is no mix & match I'm afraid, I only mentioned re-using the original connectors as you said you were re-locating the original switches.

Sorry meant re-locate the switch positions but using Carling switches in Raptor console. Think I will follow your example with extending the wire loom. Now to find a supplier of the right coloured wires.......
