Is there anything the Nanocom can do which the Hawkeye cannot, I have been offered a SH Hawkeye, I could also get one new for £250.

Thanks

Martin

Nanocom evo can programe keys without the barcode, also save live data 2 sd card and can be read on pc. I have never tried hawkeye but the nanocom is very easy 2 use.

I've had both, sold the haweye and bought the EVO.
Both easy to use.
I went for the EVO because of the extra functions that it can do over Hawkeye

I have both, and they function pretty much identically. Nano programmes keys with the short code on the back of the circuit board (but there is a Google spreadsheet that generates the long form), and it handles programming the air bag heights better.

The biggest difference though is the screen. The Nano has a big touchscreen, so you can see more live information at the same time (useful for diagnostics), whereas the Hawkeye has a small three or four line display and physical buttons. If I were running a garage, I'd have the Hawkeye as it is more robust IMO. As an enthusiast, the Nano is better.

The air bag thing is my biggest worry about Hawkeye, but as I have been offered one I can make an offer, or buy one new locally for under £250.

I think I read that the v6 of the Hawkeye firmware does a better job of the air bags, and there will be a v7 in the next couple of months that adds functions for D2s.

i calibrated height with hawkeye v.6 and it's piece of cake...it's not so fancy like the nanocom but IMO more stabile and accurate cos it's made by omitec with original main dealer's testbook T4 protocol.

Looks like for the savings Hawkeye it is, can even afford a new one if I wanted
