I've noticed a bit of a leak from the front output seal so want to replace it, question is what brand to use. Britpart seem a bit too hit and miss from what I have read but what about Bearmach or should I just buy a genuine land Rover one.

I'd go for OEM, the price difference is minimal compared to the hassle of having to do it again if the cheap seal fails

Was what i was really thinking FTC4939 Bearmach is £1.20 and the Landrover one is £12.65

you could fit ftc4939g but for your flange mud shield fcr7043g is better, g means its a genuine or oe part but not from lr so cheaper

Go OEM for about £5/6, same as genuine Land Rover without the L/R packaging and added 'fleecing'

Where in Essex are you, there are a few indie LR dealers around. Got a new set that I don't need, unfortunately I'm on holiday.

I'm near Lakeside shopping centre, thanks for the offer though luckily it only looks like the one seal so shouldn't break the bank.

Hope you have better luck than I'm having. I bought: Gasket and Seal Kit OEM - LT230 Transfer Box RTC3890G From Paddock. I got my Landy guy to fit it and it now leaks more than before. Plus a vibration has developed on the drive train somewhere. Its been back twice. This time he is stripping it down completely. Hope to get it back tomorrow, unless he discovers something else causing the vibration.

Thats crap luck, can only assume something was on its last legs and disturbing it by replaceing gaskets/seals has pushed it over the edge, hope its not too expensive to fix.
I'm only doing the one seal so fingers crossed.
