Hi all, when I got my car a year ago the back forward movement on the seat base didn't work. After fiddling with the switches and checking connections I took the seat out, lubricated the screw the motor turns and all was well again.
Now this year the seat has stopped moving again, it goes back and then won't go forward and now won't move at all. I took the seat out last week, lubed the mechanical bits and using a 12 volt supply direct to the motor checked for the full range of movement. Reinstalled the seat, got it in the right position and thought I had resolved the problem again. Now today the seat is going no where. Could the motor be failing or is there a component in the electrical system not letting a full voltage get through, might have to buy a new motor but they are fairly rare.
