I cant find the right size bolt for the rear upper shock mount bracket on me disco1.

SO... is there anybody who can let me know what bolts i need to order please?
Is it imperial or metric?

Im talking about the bolt that holds the top of he shock in place.
It keeps the shock on the bracket.

i thought that was part of the bracket ?

Nut or Bolt

It is. it's a bar welded to the mounting plate with the last 25mm or so threaded.

Bolt and not the M12 nylock nut then.

Yea my mistake again.

Im talking about the NUT that goes on the little pointy out shaft bolt that sits at an angle and is part of the bracket that is bolted to the rear chasis.......lol

I bought two nuts the same size one fits on the off side but the other does not fit tight on the near side.

x thread comes to mind but it looks ok.

I might get there in the end.

My shock nuts were M14 1.5 fine thred on the front (terrafirma) but the chassis ones are just the usual

Check yer nuts

Front shocks are nothing like rears ...other than they're shocks. They mount differently and have different threads.

Your point I think must be some nonstandard dampers have larger nuts.

I put another nut on the thread and added some thread lock to it, it seems to of held.
But before the car goes green laining or off road i will replace the whole mounting bracket.
