I have explained the CAN and also the fact the ABS can cause CANbus faults in other ECUs...did you not read my replies...??

I also linked to various of my threads explaining I used to get Precharge Pump fault (among others) and it ended up being the ABS ECU....Also in the links I posted it will give photos of the ECU, me changing the wiring harness to the ABS ECU (as this can cause similar faults) also photos of the ECU connector as this can get damps causing corrosion, also I posted a video of the INSIDE of the ABS ECU showing what was causing the fault which was down to heat damage due to its location....

I also explained the way the CAN bus transmits the information and why when one ECU goes down, the rest go out in sympathy....

The CANbus is the data network the vehicle runs on - Car Area Network Bus - the EAS ECU will log a fault as the ABS system is in fault and the CANbus ties the ABS, EAS and other items together....you'll also note the Gearbox ECU and the Transfer Box ECU will also register a CANbus fault...

The CAN works on a packet transfer system....a message is sent with a recipient address...this packet bounces down the CAN wires into each ECU in turn...they then read the Address and if it is not for them, they pass it along until the right ECU is reached....if one ECU in the chain is in fault the message transfer stops and as such the other ECUs will register a CANbus fault as they can no longer send or receive information....

Your EAS is no doubt fine and the cause is the ABS Pre Charge Pump that is halting network traffic on the CAN...

It is either:

A duff pump (rare-ish but not unheard of)
A Corroded electrical connector to the precharge pump (more common and is mounted low enough to get wet and the ABS wiring to the ECUwhen filling your coolant tank!)
A dodgy ABS ECU - I had this warning (among others intermittently when my ABS ECU was fried. It sits above the left bank exhaust and can suffer heat damage linkies to threads

ABS ECU can be remanufactured and repaired...there is a company who do it, BBA Reman or something like that

If you interfere with it yourself you lose all come back on the dealer. It's all going to end in tears.

This morning I've had a look at the abs ecu and pin 27 is still in connected put snapped if you get me

And I've clears the fault and it's all ok now so I guess I need a new abs ecu

Or fit a new pin, or as I have done bypass it with a wire link Lucky man to find it.

Does anyone know where I can get a abs ecu unit so I don't have to change the whole abs module
