Hi has anybody put new seals in a VP37 injector pump. It appears to be leaking from the lid and through a seal on the top left of the cover. this looks like the top of some sort of plunger, that prob has o rings on it. what happens if i take the cover of? and if i take the plunger out (if that's what is is) will it all go back together. Is it poss to try this without taking the pump off. silly questions I know but any comment ideas welcome. Thanks

The M51 FIP on the P38 is similar, look in the Range Rover help section, there is a description of how to replace the cover seals.

The M51 FIP on the P38 is similar, look in the Range Rover help section, there is a description of how to replace the cover seals.

thank you very much for the info. poss not the place to do it but am unable to understand much about any thing to do with computers. took me hours to work out thread posts forums etc. to old for this I think. But anyway thank you.

Dont worry about it pal , this seems to be a recent trait it was the same for me when I first joined , dont know if there was a introduce section then ? As for your hp pump is it the bosch unit on the td4 , if so it has to be removed to strip , you can get a service kit , some on here have done it , but if its done wrong , you are back to square one !
